Systems Engineer is required for this Defence & Aerospace company based in the Gloucestershire area. Reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer and would involve systems design activities as well as the co-ordination of small project teams to develop products and larger systems within the systems engineering framework.

Systems Engineer is required for this Defence & Aerospace company based in the Gloucestershire area. Reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer and would involve systems design activities as well as the co-ordination of small project teams to develop products and larger systems within the systems engineering framework.
My client is looking for excellent leadership & people skills with a desire to effect change within the systems and business processes. With a degree qualification you will have expertise in embedded product and system design & development, databus protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, TTP, Flexray or other serial protocols. Requirements capture & management skills and DOORS RTM would be advantageous with knowledge of the complete lifecycle from Business development into Production. Excellent communicator, comfortable interfacing at all levels in the business and knowledge of project management methods would be helpful whilst working with Project Managers to deliver the project.

Duties & Responsibilities Main duties will include - Design of systems for the military & aerospace industries following a systems engineering approach. Technically lead, co-ordinate and motivate a multi-discipline project team to develop and deliver systems/products on time and on budget working closely with the Project Manager. Capture & develop customer requirements into system requirements. Produce systems design solutions to satisfy the customers requirements. Produce design specifications & solutions ensuring design quality and performance. Systems development following processes and procedures to industry and defence standards for development and configuration management. Produce system/product verification plans and procedures to allow detailed integration and verification testing of the developed system/product. Contribute to the continuous development of systems and business processes. Provide project data, performing presentations and demonstrations, as required.
