Description
Systems Engineer - required to join this large Defence player working within the Special Projects Business Area working on a wide variety of Defence systems and technology enhanced projects and has highly regarded expertise in many aspects of system design; including requirements definition; systems analysis; concept development; hardware design; experimentation and demonstration.
ESSENTIAL Experience
This position requires an Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Maths degree. The candidate will have worked in a number of different areas and therefore have broad experience. The candidate must be computer literate and able to use modern simulation tools such as Matlab/Mathcad. The candidate shall be able to work effectively as a part of an integrated team, as well as being able to work under their own initiative. Good presentation skills (Written and Verbal) are required.The candidate will be expected to demonstrate at their interview that they have a basic understanding of Systems Engineering.
Desirable Experience
Practical engineering skills (ability to get your hands dirty) is a benefit, but not essential. Proven Systems Engineering experience is desirable preferably within a Defence related environment, although candidates with experience gained in other industries will be considered. Knowledge/experience in Ballistic Missile Defence and Space (Military or Civil) will be an advantage.
