System Test Execution Lead
An exciting opportunity to join the initial phase of a leading £Multi-million Government IT enabled programme.
A key role, and functioning as Deputy to the System Test Lead with shared responsibility for cost & schedule objectives, and leadership & management of all system test execution, including:
supporting strategies for accomplishing the Integration, Verification and Transition (IV&T) of each Release Project or Major Upgrade, including coordination with Product Development teams, the Chief Test Engineer and the End-to-End Integration and Authority to Operate Testing Master Planner. Management of Test Team leads. Establishes strong relationships with the programmes customer, key stakeholders, Subcontractors, and counterparts. Ensures that all engineering activities undertaken under their control are conducted to a common standard that reflects best practice, working within this continuous process improvement.

Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline; experience of Systems design tasks on at least one major programme; demonstrable and practical professional experience in IVV design and solution implementation with full lifecycle coverage; recent and active engagement in system integration & testing particularly in software intensive systems.
Desirable: Second degree in relevant subject; experience of EVMS and its application to major proposals;
Those with experience in some of the following areas will be considered: Deep understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, and demonstrable application of relevant methodologies and toolsets; Proven and successful track record in design and delivery of IVV programs for major software & database intensive system integration programmes. IVV related experience in: design influence * development of ITEA Plans * requirement verification using standard engineering techniques tailored to software development * IVV analytical methods and modelling techniques. Knowledge of: COTS IS applications; Portal & UI design; High Availability Design (24/7 year round); Business Acumen.
