My client is a volume manufacturer of heat and smoke detection systems, they currently have a requirement for a Manufacturing Engineer working with their Surface Mount lines.
Due to a healthy increase in business the company they now operate 24hrs a day and this facility provides quality PCB assemblies that fit into our world class products. The SMA facility is busy and demanding but always rewarding.
Because of this they require a Manufacturing Engineer to improve the systems and efficiency of this facility.
Your core responsibilities will be implementing continuous process improvements.
These plans could have resulted from your KPIs, working closely with R&D on new designs, the SMA operators or from new developments in SMA.
Your work will be varied from setting up Kanban systems, selecting new capital equipment or helping out with problem solving and maintenance.
You will already be working within a manufacturing environment are proactive, organised and a good communicator.
Knowledge of Europlacer/Juki Surface mount machines and world class lean techniques would be advantageous but no essential as training will be provided.
Ideally you would have a manufacturing degree in engineering and want to work for a company that is progressive and allows the freedom to implement improvements. You are also self motivated, resourceful and can work on you own initiative.
