Position
3 positions are available for Supportability/ILS Engineers with an experienced ARM background with LSA/Upkeep capabilities. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will be able to undertake FMECA and be able to use modelling tools. Good understanding of Design For Support activities, maintenance schedules, spares ranging and other supporting logistic element activities. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with design, ship build, senior technical managers, stakeholders and suppliers. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will implement the AR&M and LSA programme as detailed in the CVF ISP, AR&M and LSA Plans too ensure that AR&M and Logistic Support Analysis is always commensurate with design program. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will implement appropriate Supportability policies and procedures within the PDT and the supply base. To cascade specific CVF AR&M, LSA and upkeep requirements into Ship, Compartment and Equipment specifications and onto design. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will carry out or assist in the execution of FMECA/FMEA for designated systems in accordance with R&M policy and maturity requirements. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will have proven supportability engineering practical experience, including LORA, MTA, Spares Ranging/Scaling, NATO Codification process and Initial Provisioning activities and experience in identifying and analysing key. Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M) drivers. Practical experience in the delivery of LSA and ARM programmes to time, cost and quality. The Supportability/ILS Engineer will be experienced in the pragmatic application of AR&M/LSA/Upkeep in a Warship design environment with due regard of commercial (affordability) constraints. The Supportability/ ILS Engineer will have experience in an engineering role on major defence projects specifically in the assessment/design for support phase.
