We have requirements for Control Systems Support Specialists based in Houston. We are looking for Engineers with eligibility to work in the USA for vacancies with a systems integrator in the Oil & Gas industry.

PLC DCS SCADA HMI ESD CONTROLS AUTOMATION SYSTEMS INSTRUMENTATION TURBINE C&I APC OTS ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROLS OPERATOR TRAINING SIMULATOR ENGINEERING DESIGN ICA EICA SOFTWARE S7 ALLEN BRADLEY SIEMENS

Experience:

Knowledge of control and safety system applications, support and integration for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries with on-shore and off-shore site experience.
Experience of control system applications throughout the project lifecycle from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support.
Software design and support experience of PLC / HMI or DCS based control systems. Application experience of third party systems integration. Knowledge of communications protocols
Hardware design and support experience relating to control system equipment (panels, control desks and control rooms) and integration of other manufacturers equipment.
Understanding of Control and Instrumentation.
Understanding of the requirements of Functional Safety Management to IEC 61508 / SPA84
Demonstrable evidence of similar work performed to a competent standard.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree or similar qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Offshore certified preferable (or prepared to be)
Computer literate, with experience of PC-based word-processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Job Requirements:

Preparation of requirement, functional, design, test and other specifications, plans, drawings and software in accordance with Company procedures.
Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor resources for post design projects including setting and managing time-scales and budgets. Provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status as required and contribute to project review meetings.
Attend on-shore and offshore sites both in US and abroad as necessary including, on a rota-basis, attending at short notice.
Provide technical telephone assistance to customers when necessary, including, on a rota-basis, the carrying of a company mobile phone covering out of hours work.
To perform work in compliance with the company's QA Standards and Procedures.
Client liaison and interface management. Development and maintenance of customer relationship.
Team player with the ability to integrate with other team project members.
