Support Solution Improvement Analyst/Modeller - required for this leading Defence organisation to further develop and implement (with the team's RAF customer representative) a joint industry and MoD Nimrod MRA4 Support Solution Improvement Service. This is a challenging and high visibility role for an individual, who can become involved in a programme which will help shape the way forward in terms of future platform support strategies.

Support Solution Improvement Analyst/Modeller - required for this leading Defence organisation to further develop and implement (with the team's RAF customer representative) a joint industry and MoD Nimrod MRA4 Support Solution Improvement Service. This is a challenging and high visibility role for an individual, who can become involved in a programme which will help shape the way forward in terms of future platform support strategies.
The Senior Support Engineer will ideally be educated to Degree level and have experience of Aircraft Operations in a Military context and systems engineering, although this is not essential. It is ESSENTIAL you have experience of MS Office; Support Modelling experience is desirable; In-Service Support experience desirable; Simlox/Opus Modelling experience desirable.
Candidates should possess a wide experience of the different Aircraft Support functions. The jobholder must work across the traditional business unit and functional boundaries to assist in the development of a Support Solution Improvement solution that satisfies the requirements of the various MoD stakeholders as well as those of the Industry elements of the Partnered Support solution. Experience working in an MoD DE&S IPT, or similar environment would also be an advantage but is not essential.
A self starter with good decision making skills, who is capable of developing excellent working relationships and providing motivation and direction to a varied spectrum of the Support Solution Improvement and Partnered Support disciplines in meeting challenging timescales. Good team working and problem solving abilities coupled with excellent written and oral communications skills.
Occasional travel throughout the UK may be required.
Key responsibility areas:
Gain acceptance, buy-in and approval of the Support Solution Improvement solution by MoD and industry areas of appropriate functional and operational governance (e.g. Support engineering function, MAS, PASO, MoD STC, RAF Kinloss and DE&S). Refine the Support Solution Improvement solution design. Support and contribute to the ongoing research of future (including partners & suppliers) business management process requirements for the in-service phase of the project. Support the implementation of the agreed solution in line with the planned support build-up and implementation proposal. Developing, through joint MoD/industry workshops, personal input, working with MoD and industry specialist departments (e.g. commercial, finance, EA, project management, HR, facilities management, etc.) a series of joint, optimised Support Solution Improvement processes. Participate in the formulation and development of modelling tools.
Construct and Operate an Economic Model to evaluate and optimise the design and potential performance of the Partnered Support Solution.
