Description
Two Support Engineers required by this leading defence organisation (East Midlands area) to be responsible for the test, repair and re-certification of EFA DASS equipment at the Customer Support Facility (CSF), acting as a member of the Industrial Exchange and Repair Service (IERS) Technical Diagnostic Cell (TDC). Applications invited from candidates eligible for MOD security clearance and who can meet the strict criteria required.
Key responsibility areas:
Diagnostics and subsequent repair of unserviceable Line Replaceable Items and the re-certification of repaired LRIs. Contribute in assigned area to team planning, risk management, quality and safety to support the effective functioning of the team. Keep up to date in relevant technical areas and develop skills and capabilities to be able to provide more effective service.
The Support Engineer will be educated to BTEC (including HND/HNC) in an engineering subject and typically be experienced in only one engineering domain. You will need working experience in more than one phase of the lifecycle and be skilled in the use of appropriate systems but have knowledge of other functions. You will need knowledge of quality assurance SHE requirements, techniques and processes.
The Support Engineer must be able to communicate to different audiences also to seek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve own practices, sharing new knowledge and skills with colleagues as appropriate.
