Subcontracts Manager is required for this expanding international space company based in the Southern Home Counties to manage critical Subcontracts and to support the development of business to business relationships with key suppliers.

Subcontracts Manager is required for this expanding international space company based in the Southern Home Counties to manage critical Subcontracts and to support the development of business to business relationships with key suppliers.
You will be responsible for the project management of critical subcontracts on behalf of the Projects teams
including involvement with contractor selection, contract negotiation, delivery and wash-up. Development of business relationships with key suppliers by direct contact and facilitating contact between senior managers and suppliers. Carrying out Supplier Audits. Monitoring & reporting of supplier performance to Programme Managers and Directors. Identification and reporting of project specific contracting risks. Undertaking commercial activities in line with company policy & procedures.
Of Degree calibre or MCIPS qualification would be beneficial, you will have proven Subcontracts project Management experience and with some Commercial, Contracts and/or Procurement experience within the satellite or engineering/aerospace industry. Experience with ESA 'Best Practice' in managing Subcontracts is preferable, but not essential. Experience of facilitating solutions with customers/suppliers. Experience of carrying out Supplier Audits.
The Subcontracts Manager will need excellent negotiation skills. You will be capable of planning and managing workload within tight timescales. Proficient in all MS Office packages, particularly MSProject.
You will show strong attention to detail, capable of working in multi-disciplinary engineering environment, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. You will also be needed to travel as required.
