Description
Structural Engineer - Steel Frames
Our client has been specifically created to address many of the fundamental issues facing the domestic housing market and related sectors. They have built on the 20 years of experience in UK home building to design, manufacture and supply light steel solutions to the industry.

They have a current vacancy for a Structural Engineer to join their team based in the Midlands. The main purpose for the vacancy will be to carry out design of steel frames for typical structures including: liaison with customers to agree layouts; modelling the structure; producing production and site output; and resolving any queries.
The jobholder must have:
•Steel Framing experience essential
•Curtain walling experience - desirable
•Ability to produce a set of structural / stress calculations
•Good communication skills, the diplomacy to resolve technical conflict with a customer and an ability to work as a member of the design team are essential
•Qualifications to degree level in a structural or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
