Fantastic opportunity to work for leading Design and Engineering company of Offshore related vessels
Structural Engineers required for Design and Engineering of two Brand New Offshore FPSO's
Our client are a leading engineering company in the offshore and marine industries and they currently require a structural engineer to work on the engineering for two FPSO / LNG vessels for the oil and gas industry.
The work the candidate will be involved in is:
* Production of structural design drawings for Marine and Offshore Projects.
* FE Analysis of structures.
* Preparation of structural design drawings and associated calculations.
* Production of scantling drawings and associated calculations to classification society rules.
Candidates with the following are at an advantage:
- Direct experience in design of marine & offshore structures & systems
- Ability to work from first principles
- Knowledge of classification society rules & flag state regulations
- Ability to supervise a small team of individuals
- Good communications skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good team worker
- Willing to travel on assignments away from the office
The successful candidate will have a shipbuilding background.
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified or have the equivalent experience and good knowledge and experience of STAAD would be beneficial.
