Structural Design Engineer
I am looking to recruit a Design Engineer who basically needs to be qualified in Civil Engineering to a minimum of HNC and someone with industry experience especially in pre-cast or insitu concrete would be ideal (but not essential).
An exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a local team working on prestigious projects throughout the UK and Europe.
Our client is looking to expand their Design team with an engineer who has an interest in the structural aspects of design for construction. This role will be more focussed on the hand calculations and preparatory sketches than on CAD, as you will work alongside a draughtsperson.
The company supply pre-cast concrete cladding systems for construction projects, so design will involve analysis of the concrete and interface with the building structure - usually steel bracketry.
The successful Design Engineer will be responsible to the Chief Engineer for undertaking all technical and engineering matters on specific contracts as allocated. To design to achieve safety, economy, efficient manufacture and soundness of product.
