You will be working as part of a team of 18 people who carrying out condition examinations and prepare professional reports on the UK infrastructure's structural assets to ensure that they comply with safety requirements and legislation. This specialist team of structural asset examiners undertake this role, for example, by abseiling, rowing, or using platforms to gain access to some of the trickiest spaces so that they can recommend actions which ensure that a clients legal and safety obligations are met. You will be responsible for: Carrying out scheduled inspections of railway assets; recording details of conditions found; preparing condition reports; submitting reports and other data to the client. You should have attended either attended British Rail (or subsequent entity) bridges and structures examiners training course or possess equivalent training/experience. As access to sites is with a company van you should possess a full driving licence and be comfortable working at heights from ladders/platforms etc.
