Stress Engineer
Stress Engineers are required to work under the guidance of a Senior Stress Engineer in project focused concurrent engineering teams covering the whole life of a project from conceptual design through detail design and analysis, manufacture and test.

Tasks
Scheme sizing by hand calculations
nterpretation of design drawings
Finite Element model generation and analysis
Detail stressing
Analysis of material property, component and major structural tests.
Skills
Post graduate experience in stress analysis preferably in industry. Aerospace or Composites industry experience is desirable
An understanding of lightweight structures
Finite Element analysis using MSC NASTRAN (model pre & post processing using FEMAP, MSC PATRAN or USG IDEAS)
Able to work from self generated load balances and MSC NASTRAN outputs
General computer skills for analysis and report writing
An understanding of composite materials is desirable
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
