Stores Manager Engineering Stores Operations
Wigton, Cumbria
£18,000 - £21,000 DOE
Our client is a rapidly expanding provider of BPO solutions for Blue Chip Organisations. They are now looking for a Stores Manager to join their team.
A varied and challenging role, as the Stores Manager you will focus on the customer facing side of the business. By working closely with customers, stores personnel and the operations team, you will implement changes to existing stores procedures and systems at customer's facilities.
Following the completion of this first stage of projects you will then be responsible at site level for the ongoing management of the stores provision over several facilities.
This will require you to:
- Ensure that the stores provision on site is in line with the Company's procedures and practices
- Coach, mentor and develop the individual skills of each stores member
- Act as the person on the ground dealing with both the customer and Head Office to facilitate a high level of customer satisfaction
As a Stores Manager you should be a self starter, have good computer and systems knowledge, and have a proven track record in product management. You will also possess strong people management and organisational skills, and be committed to a career in the industry.
To succeed as the Stores Manager you will have the following:
- extensive experience in a commercial, distribution or industrial environment
- experience of people and organisational management
- excellent communication and IT skills (SAP experience would be desirable)
- a methodical and organised approach
- a flexible approach to working hours
- full and valid Driving and Fork Lift Licence
