Static Stress Engineer required to provide static stress support to the wide-body static stress group, specifically to support the head of stress in the technical supervision of a large team of sub-contact stress engineers undertaking the static stress justification of the widebody wing structural repair manual.
For this role, the individual should possess the following capabilities and experience;-
Essential
1. 10 years minimum experience in a static stressing role (conferring the typical description of senior stress engineer'), using hand calculations for detail stress analysis of typical wing structural items such as ribs, spars and covers. Similar detail stressing experience with other primary structures will also be acceptable, such as with fuselage or empennage structure.
2. The ability to manage and supervise the technical work of other engineers, demonstrated through previous experience in such a role.
3. With a minimum level of supervision, the ability both to produce concise technical reports, and also to support the approval of technical documentation submitted by off-site sub-contact staff.
Ideal additional capabilities.
1. Ideally, the individual should have held stress signatory delegated authority during any previous experience. If not a signatory, the engineer should be close to achieving such status.
