Solidworks Design Draughtperson.
Design Draughtsperson sought by a leading Manufacturing firm based in Kent that design & develop electrical/electronic equipment. You must have a practical understanding of electro/mechanical design gained from an indentured apprenticeship and post apprenticeship experience and interested in advancing your career by joining a market leading company. You will possess a HNC/HND in a relevant Engineering field and probably have a bias to Mechanical Design.
The ideal candidate will be working on the design and detailing of new products which could include piece parts, fabrications, assembly drawings and pcb design. Engineering experience is required in sheet metal work, plastic injection moulded parts, printed circuit board design, BoM's and data entry using ERP systems.
The candidate will design and detail mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD. (Preferably Solidworks 2008) Will provide the relevant documentation including bills of materials, detail drawings, 3D models in order to support new product development from concept through to full mass production. PCB design utilising multilayer technology is also required using a recognised layout tool. (preferably Orcad based)
