Software Test Engineer - There is an opportunity for a capable test engineer to work as part of a small team with responsibility for testing of the Communication Management System (CMS) software for this major Defence player.
CMS consists of sophisticated software based products and is used by the British Army.
Would suit a self starter who is capable of understanding the problem-space, taking ownership of the testing and authoring tests.
Key Responsibility areas:
Experienced in the full Software Test Lifecycle, in particular skills in the following areas: test authoring, manual/automated software testing, requirements analysis, formal acceptance. All aspects of the work to be carried out to ISO Quality standards.
Person Spec - Skills : You will need to be qualified to HNC/HND or Degree level in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Computing/IT or a numerate subject. Experience of working to formal Quality Assurance based standards/processes gained in a Defence-based organisation desirable. Experience of writing, running and recording scripted tests for a complex software application. Use of DOORS for requirements traceability. Use of Compuware QA run/QA Centre beneficial. Strong MS Office skills (Excel / Word). Attention to detail essential.
