Software Team Leader for this world leader in the design and manufacture of rugged, real-time video tracking and image processing subsystems. Responsible for the management of the software engineering team which supports the development of the company's range of video tracking and image processing subsystems.
Responsibilities:
Manage, facilitate and coordinate software development activities. Ensure that the software team maintains a capability at the leading edge of technology. Define team objectives and monitor results. Coordinate development in conjunction with other technical disciplines. Support the personal development of team members. Allocation of resources to project teams. Team supervision including work scheduling and monitoring when required by Project Managers. Ownership of processes related to function. Provide leadership of process improvement. Deciding tactical priorities in consultation with product and project managers.
You will possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and experience of real-time embedded software development. You will also need C and C++ experience. VxWorks and Workbench beneficial. Experience in image processing and/or electro optics systems. Experience in the defence and aerospace sector would be an advantage. Have a vision for software design. Strong people management skills. Be proactive and able to work on own initiative. Be customer focused.
