We are seeking to recruit a Software Systems Engineer to develop new instrumentation systems, analysis routines and instrumentation software.
The role is for a Systems Engineer with a background in maths or a physical science with Windows software programming experience that can work comfortably with user interfaces, instrumentation systems and analysis algorithms.
The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle Applications, Feasibility, Requirements, Analysis, Design, Testing. Although software design will be the primary job function we are seeking an individual that will engage with the product and the needs of our customers.
Skills and qualifications
Essential
- Graduate in maths / physical science or equivalent
- High-technology/scientific background
- Strong mathematical capability
- Development of software systems architecture
- Experience of system modelling / analysis using tools eg. MATLAB, Maple
- Fluency and experience of object modelling eg. using the UML
- Experience with MFC and Visual C++ or C# / .net
- Proven track record in working effectively to project timescales.
