Our client is the world leading provider of pricing systems for retail and wholesale fuels. Working with the oil and gas, convenience, grocery and big-box retail industry sectors, their staff have over 100 years of expertise, ensuring their unrivalled reputation. They are now looking to recruit a Software Support Analyst to join their team.
As a Software Support Analyst you will play a significant role in providing product support to our client's customer base from trials, to complete implementations and post implementation support.
In this position you will be primarily responsible for providing technical expertise during support engagements. Your accountabilities will include issue logging and updating, providing updates to clients, data manipulation, modelling and analysis, producing and delivering training materials, user acceptance testing, and technical support.
You will also be responsible for:
- Investigating issues on external client systems
- Performing installations and maintenance duties
- Delivering reports, updates and analysis to clients
- Communicating clearly within the organisation regarding progress, issues and opportunities that arise
To succeed as the Software Support Analyst you must have the following:
- excellent SQL and data analysis skills
- excellent communication skills
- excellent knowledge of Windows Operating systems
- knowledge of MS SQL Server
Knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Although not essential, ideally you will also have a degree (or equivalent) in IT, Engineering or an analytical discipline.
Equally as important to your success in this role will be your good communication and presentation abilities, your strong time management skills, and your flexibility, as occasional travel will be required.
