Software Engineering Manager required in South Wales to work for a leading prime contractor and systems integrator of defence communications systems. The position of Engineering Manager will be in charge of the Software Development function, taking leadership for an established group of 50+ engineers. You will be responsible for delivering high quality software components on time and within budget. This will involve resource management, including active management of the software matrix resource pool to ensure business demands for software resource can be met. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will require a strong software development background (defence or aerospace would be highly desirable) with detailed technical and commercial knowledge of software development. You should have experience of using industry standard software development tools coupled with experience of the full software lifecycle. You will also need strong influencing skills and the ability to lead a large, dynamic team. Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment.
