Description
A Software Engineer with strong C++/Visual Basic programming skills is required due to ongoing growth within this leading engineering organisation. Based on the border of Leicester and Coventry, the main head office is easily commutable from most Midlands locations in and around the M6, M1 and M69 triangle.
THE ROLE
The role of Software Engineer will be to design and code software to agreed standards as well as producing software designs using C++ or Visual Basic.net or Visual basic 6 from specification through to implementation. There will also be an element of software test interpretation along with other software development duties such as project management.
THE CANDIDATE
Ideally you will have gained your design skills from within an industrial environment, and be able to work both within a team and alone. You will need to have a HND/degree in software or electronics engineering, as well as strong programming skills. The successful candidate will have good C++ and Visual basic skills as well as a knowledge of object orientated programming and real time. Finally any other IT and database skills would be beneficial including SQL, access or similar, as well as some networking experience.
