This is an excellent opportunity for a software engineer with a few years industry experience to join a world leader in the defence communication market.

My client is looking for a software engineer who has ideally had 1 to 2 years industry experience, with a degree background in engineering as well. This role will allow you to work on cutting edge communication equipment, through the full software life-cycle development phases.

My client is looking for a software engineer who has ideally had 1 to 2 years industry experience, with a degree background in engineering as well. This role will allow you to work on cutting edge communication equipment, through the full software life-cycle development phases. You can expect to work on stand alone embedded systems in C and C++ as part of a team. As these projects are all defence related Security Clearance will be required before starting.

Essential:
- C/C++ software languages
- Real time embedded software design

Highly Desirable:
- Knowledge of Object Orientated Design
- Experience on a Unix/Linux operating system
- Windows Visual Studio development
- An understanding of the interaction between hardware and software
- Software Configuration Management
- Knowledge of military communications systems
- Understanding of IP networking
- Understanding of DSP techniques
- Understanding of UML and supporting tools

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Good communications skills especially written.
- Adaptability
- Problem solving.
