My client specialises in the design and manufacture of commercial and military communication systems. They have recently won a large contract developing state of the art communication systems. They are currently looking for a Software Engineer to help develop and support software in existing and new communication products.
The candidate my client is seeking will have a knowledge and understanding of the interaction between hardware and software within communication systems. A good understanding of IP networking, DSP techniques, UML and supporting tools is desirable as these are the types of technologies you are going to be exposed to.
The position itself is very hands on so experience of working within software development in a hands on industry would be desirable. Knowledge of C++, Unix/Linux operating systems and real time embedded software design is also desirable.
Salary Guide: Circa £30,000k
Hours:37.5 Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.00
