Description
Provide Product Assurance support for the Galileo Ground Support System (GCS) project, primarily in Germany but also at UK site or suppliers premises.
Control and manage PA activities conducted on the GCS project, including Customer interface, assessments, audits, reviews, non-conformance management, monitoring and witnessing of testing, documentation and certification by internal/external PA staff and manage other PA engineers at all levels.
Support, and represent, the Galileo GCS PA Manager in interfacing with Customer primarily for GCS IOV issues but also for other Galileo PA issues, if required.
Responsible for ensuring the relevant quality assurance controls of products/systems (hardware, software and services) are in accordance with the contractual requirements and those compatible with Quality Systems. Ensuring quality requirements for suppliers and subcontractors are monitored and implemented by liaison, surveillance and audit.
Degree or HND/HNC or specialist knowledge in relevant disciplines
Proven experience in an avionics/aerospace environment or associated technology, or other relevant experience as a PA Engineer.
Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Expert user and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly non-conformance tools.
Experience of man management desirable.
Responsible for the planning, overseeing and approval of the Galileo GCS Product Assurance activities at the GCC including:
Represent the GCS PA Manager on site and provide regular status reports
Conduct facility audits, report and resolve issues with host entity
Provision for equipment transportation quality support, including goods-received inspection, storage inspection, etc.
Review of AIV test procedures and reports for site activities
Inspection/audit installed equipment
Interface with Customer PA site representatives
Conducting site TRR/TRBs for element and segment
Attend post FAT element reviews, when conducted on site
Provide inputs for the GCS Qualification Review (QR), and Site Acceptance Review (SAR)
NCR process management, including NRB activity, RFDs/RFWs, quarantined items, NCTS, Pandora, etc.
Final inspection and close out reports
Creation of final GCS EIDP
Review of Declaration of Conformity (to EU Directives)
Signing of Certificate of Conformance for the GCS.
Manage the Customer and supplier interface for quality matters (quality requirements review, implementation and results of actions).
This will involve direct negotiation with Customer Quality Representatives as necessary.
Responsible for ensuring compliance of products and processes to contractual requirements and certifying conformance for deliverables.
Facilitate other disciplines in the improvement of processes by the use of suitable quality measurement and analysis tools.
