Site Engineer
To provide setting out, quality management and technical coordination of works on site

Ensure that the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce, particularly to those engaged on activities that have been identified as likely to have a significant environmental impact
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
Dimensional control establishing control points, setting out, checking setting out by others and carrying out surveys
Maintenance of surveying equipment
Maintain drawing registers
Liaison with designers, clients and specialist suppliers over technical information
Temporary works management
Management of materials testing
Management of site quality control producing Inspection & Test Plans in accordance with works specification and monitoring compliance
Maintaining accurate works records through a Daily Site Diary and as-built sketches
Monitoring and recording progress of works against programme
Promoting safe working practice on site
Planning and supervising some subcontract works packages under supervision of Site Agent
Key Performance Indicators
Setting out and all aspects of dimensional control
Monitor works on site to ensure that all works are compliant with contract drawings and specification.
Manage all temporary works planning, design and installation on site
Key Working Relationships
This role may have supervising responsibility for an Assistant Site Engineer
Liaison with:
Internal Site Agents, Project Managers, Site Managers, operatives
External Subcontractors, client
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
Trade background
Good level of education
5+ yrs in a supervisory role
Experience of design and build
Supervision of sub-contractors and direct labour
Rail, LUL and/or Airport experience useful
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
Preparation of method statements
Ability to read engineering drawings
This role is based in Dorset and offers a great benefits package including a starting salary of £30,000 plus a company car.
