The division is a leading provider of managed services to the communications, power transmission, utilities and property sectors and each business unit is highly regarded in its respective market. Core activities for the division encompass the delivery of large-scale network infrastructure projects for clients who include the UKs major network owners and operators.
We currently have a nationwide requirement for Site Engineers to join our highly skilled Broadcast team in the Eve Communications division of Babcock Networks Ltd. You will work on the UK digital switch-over project, upgrading existing analog transmitter stations with digital equipment, to further strengthen our excellent reputation for successfully delivering nationwide broadcast projects.
As a key member of the team, you will be required to manage site works, promote the health and safety values of the company, deliver against programme, and liaise with clients to ensure that Babcock Networks Ltd have sufficient information to complete the works to the specified quality.
Key Responsibilities:
•Carry out site surveys to provide information to designers
•Liaison with clients to hand over the sites on completion
•Liaison with the work crews to ensure they have sufficient information and resources
•Site management and induction
•Assisting colleagues to plan site build with the allocated resource
Key Skills:
•Knowledge of the broadcast or communications industry
•Experienced Mechanical or Civil Engineer (HNC or equivalent)
•Good organisational skills
•Ability to communicate diplomatically at all levels
•IT literacy, including Word and Excel
•Ability to climb to heights of up to 350m
Candidates would need to be willing to travel nationwide and spend nights away on occasions.
