THE COMPANY

This leading UK manufacturer of plastic materials and products which is based in the heart of the East Midlands on the Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire border, is currently looking to recruit a shift based Production Manager with strong leadership and improvement experience.

THE ROLE

As the Shift Production ManagerYou will be responsible for a production unit of upto 20 people which will consist largely of setters and operators. You will be responsible not only for the day to day workload and motivation of your team, but it will also be your role to manage all of the day to day process improvements by using your continuous improvement experience. You will report into the factory manager and you will work closely with him in on issues such as training and development, health and safety and discipline.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- Leadership Experience
- Manufacturing/Production Background
- Understanding of improvement initiatives
- Good Communication Skills

THE PERSON

Ideally you will be currently in a shift supervisor, team leader or production managers role and be looking to move into a forward thinking company which is undergoing an exciting period of growth. It would be beneficial if you have come from either a manufacturing, engineering or production environment including food or pharmaceuticals. The most important attributes that this role requires is a strong leader who has the ability to improve both people and processes.
