A major operational power generating plant in Kent is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Team Leader to work on a shift pattern at their site. This is a senior operational role and as such will require a very experienced individual.
Power Plant Operations Shift Leader Kent
A major operational power generating plant in Kent is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Team Leader to work on a shift pattern at their site. This is a senior operational role and as such will require a very experienced individual.
As the Shift Team Leader and when on shift, you will lead a small team of Operators, manage health & safety and environmental issues, liaise with energy suppliers and be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant - including start-ups and shut-downs. When qualified as a Senior Authorised Person you will issue Permits to Work and as such have a high level of responsibility - therefore your Plant Operations knowledge must be at the highest level.
To be considered you should have gained experience at Shift Team Leader level (or have been working towards it) and have Steam Generating experience and be fully up to speed with Boiler technology, Steam Turbines, Flue Gas Treatment, Water Treatment, Heat Exchangers, etc and be qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in an appropriate Engineering discipline. Experience gained in the Power Station, Waste, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Marine industries would be very beneficial.
The salary on offer to the successful applicant is worth a salary in the region of £34 42,000 plus bonus, London Allowance, Shift payment and good holidays and overtime is available and the earning potential is therefore very good.
