Equipment is supplied to various industries within the process control sector including the petrochemical, power generation, water and steel industries. Due to continued growth they urgently require an experienced Service / Commissioning Engineer to carry out varous tasks.
Carry out site safety dynamic risk assessments and complete all site test documentation working to ISO9001 quality procedures.
Check power and control connections and prove all field devices function correctly
Set all protection and overload relays.
Set times and check sequence of operation.
Primary and secondary current injection of all protective devices.
Set up and check operation of all drives and soft starts.
Prove operation of all electrical and mechanical interlocks
Pressure and meggar testing.
Connect supplies and prove that equipment works to clients requirements.
Attend site to investigate faults and carry out necessary corrective work or to investigate any warranty claims.
Assist with in-house testing of completed equipment and the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
Previous experience of working on medium voltage (3.3 kV to 11kV) equipment and PLC (Allen Bradley/Siemens) systems would be an advantage but not essential.
