Our client designs and manufactures bespoke robotic pick & place and assembly machines for the plastic injection de-moulding sector. They are currently seeking to recruit a skilled Service/Commissioning Engineer.

Our client designs and manufactures bespoke robotic pick & place and assembly machines for the plastic injection de-moulding sector. They are currently seeking to recruit a skilled Service/Commissioning Engineer.

Based from home and covering the UK, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and service of all mechanical, electrical and software systems for the company's range of special purpose machinery. Knowledge of robotic pick & place equipment or assembly machinery will be beneficial to undertake this role; the company designs their own bespoke robot programmes but also integrate Fanuc, ABB, KUKA and Nachi robots, therefore a good all round robotics knowledge is ideal. Training is available to develop your robot programming expertise.

You will have experience of the installation and set up of drive systems and servos and the faultfinding, repair, programming and program modification of PLC software (Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and/or Siemens S7).Candidates will have a good all-round trouble shooting ability, be able to work under own initiative and possess excellent communication and client interfacing skills. Knowledge of B&R PLC's or Servo drives would be an advantage, as would previous experience of the plastics industry.
