Our client specialises in the area of precision instruments for professional use. In addition to a wide product array, our client offers a comprehensive range of services in the industry on a global level.
You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective service support for a range of products and their associated peripherals and accessories within the Product Inspection Division by means of field visits to customer sites and occasionally from the Leicester workshop.
Key objectives are:
- Investigation, diagnosis, and rectification of breakdowns on customer equipment
- Routine service and/or calibration/validation activity for the PI Division product range
- Promoting audits/calibration/validation activity for the PI Division product range
- Achieve contribution towards service income targets & other departmental targets
- Commissioning of new equipment and associated peripherals and accessories
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with current Quality Procedures
- Provide technical support to customers during service visits and subsequent telephone/email as necessary
To succeed you must have:
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics
- 3 years field service experience, ideally in the packaging industry.
- Experience of Checkweighers, X-Ray and Metal Detection equipment would be a distinct advantage as would knowledge of PC based systems and networking.
Our client is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated applicants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to ensure the timely and satisfactory completion of customer jobs. You should also be PC literate with knowledge of MS office and possess a full, clean driving licence.
