My client, the UK sales/service arm of a major global company manufacturing a wide range of motion and control technologies and systems, are seeking an Internal Technical Sales Support person to work out of their West Yorkshire service centre.
My client, the UK sales/service arm of a major global company manufacturing a wide range of motion and control technologies and systems, are seeking an Internal Technical Sales Support person to work out of their West Yorkshire service centre.
As part of the continued development of the UK Sales Company, the Service Engineer role will entail mainly working within a busy Service Department and will also include site work, the role will report directly to the Service Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Achieve Premier Customer Service.
* Provide hydraulic product support and advice to customers and internal staff.
* Disassembly of returned items, rebuild and testing.
* Prepare quotations and complete general administration tasks for returned items.
* Undertake on-site customer visits as and when required.
* Ability to diagnose faults, offer solutions and rectify as necessary
* Undertake additional duties and special projects as required, both on and off site.
QUALIFICATION / SKILLS:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Possess good all round fitting abilities and assembly skills, experience working on test facilities.
* Knowledge of both mobile and industrial hydraulic applications and associated products.
* Knowledge of both open loop and closed loop hydraulic systems, and hydraulic formula/calculations
* Ability to operate on own initiative, working to set standards of Health and Safety.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Flexible approach to work, able to solve problems
* Knowledge of measuring instruments for system diagnosis.
* PC skills - Word, Excel, lotus notes essential.
* Mainframe computer skills - J.D. Edwards skills desirable though not essential.
* Be prepared to work from other locations on a temporary basis.
* Must be able to drive.
