Description
Parkhouse Professional are working with our Warrington based client a world leader in industrial automotive services to source a flexible, qualified and confident Service Engineer.
This role will provide local support to our clients Aberdeen based customers and will also provide a technical resource to support our clients Aberdeen based business development personnel.
During any times of reduced service workload in Aberdeen, you will be expected to form part of the a virtual Technical Services Group UK workforce and will provide labour for minor project engineering works, commissioning or general UK based service work. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience with the maintenance of Safety Shutdowns & Distributed Control Systems, HNC/ONC level qualification in Control Engineering or equivalent and have knowledge of Process Control Instrumentation.
Key Accountabilities
•To assist in maintaining 24-hour cover for our clients System Support Contracts with the Service Supervisor, and to assist with quotations for the renewal of the Support Contracts as they become due.
•Assist in the business development of our clients Safety & Systems customer base with a focus on maintenance.
•To provide technical assistance for customers both external and internal. The main product ranges covered will include distributed control systems, safety control systems, panel mounted stand alone products (chart recorders, data acquisition etc) and process control instrumentation.
•Assist Service Supervisor in developing & maintaining all necessary procedures & documentation associated with IEC61508 certification.
Whilst the role calls for an emphasis on DCS and ESD systems, it is required that a flexible approach is adopted towards all customer service assignments and requirements.
The candidate will be expected to have a flexible attitude towards working environment and location, which could include sites in Ireland, the UK and overseas.
