We are looking for two Service Engineers to join the worlds largest manufacturer of marine life-saving systems.

The role will be based in a new facility in Aberdeen.

This position requires someone who is prepared to travel UK and worldwide to provide service on board sea going vessels, as well as vessels alongside and offshore installations/platforms. This will make up a large majority of your time.

Successful candidates will have a mechanical fitting background, preferably within a maintenance or marine environment, although all backgrounds will be considered.

Specialised training will be given and you will be asked to spend the first month of employment at the UK head office in the South of England. This will be followed later by a further training course in Rotterdam. Accommodation will be provided and paid for by the company.

Tasks and responsibilities will include;

- To service the products of the company, both on and off site in marine and offshore related environments.
- To prepare Service Reports and expense claims and submit to Service Manager in a timely manner
- To identify any additional work or material requirements as part of the debriefing to the Service Manager and/or Technical Manager
- To ensure that materials are available prior to the commencement of the job
- To assist with any necessary workshop related activities and on-site product refurbishment
- To be responsible for the maintenance of your work area and tools
- To ensure the Aberdeen site is kept in a clean tidy and safe condition at all times
- To observe Health & Safety procedures at all times both on and off site
- To be available for work in any location at all times

You will start with a basic salary of 15,996 rising to 18,000 after a period of 6 months. You will then receive allowances based on the location and type of job you are working on.
With these allowances you will have the opportunity to earn an average 35,000-36,000 per year. This is a realistic earning potential and has been the case for all engineers over the past two years.
