They are now looking to recruit a Service Desk Engineer to join their team.

As a Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for providing desktop support to company employees both onsite and off-site. This will include maintaining the server infrastructure, VPN connectivity or general desktop support problems.

Day to day duties will include responding to user problems, carrying out adds/moves/changes on internal IT systems, maintaining the integrity of company data, and where necessary, supporting customers.

To succeed in this role you must have experience supporting Windows desktop environments using MS Server 2003, Exchange and XP. You will also need to be MCSE accredited and preferably CCNA qualified. Preference will be given to candidates who also hold Cisco experience. You will also require a clean driving licence.

Additionally, as the Service Desk Engineer you will need the ability to work unsupervised, excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to communicate problems and solutions to Senior Managers.

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial, but isnt essential:

- Local Area Networks, Wireless Networks
- Firewalls and VPNs
- IP Telephony (Call manager)
- Microsoft SQL Services, CRM, Dynamics Great Plains Professional
- Network Management Software SolarWinds / OpManager / SNMPc / Kiwi
