Senior Environmental Scientist (Power) based in Brighton

Job Profile

To provide detailed technical support in air quality modelling and assessment studies, with flexibility to provide more general support to projects across the team.


Job Description

• To provide technical support for air quality assessment studies undertaken by Ecologically sustainable design Team.

• Broaden out general environmental management experience to act as project manager for Air quality/Environmental impact assessment permit application projects and provide appropriate environmental input to due diligence studies.

• Detailed technical support in air quality assessment studies undertaken by Ecologically sustainable design team.

• Significant opportunities to work with a renowned technical leader in air quality issues in developing the air quality assessment business within the group, both within Energy and other existing divisions.

The Candidate

Ideally, candidates would have a good first degree in hard science or engineering and relevant PhD in air quality assessment.

Chartered engineer / Environmentalist with UK and international experience is desirable

Essential competencies/ skills

• IT Literate

• Demonstrable experience in air quality
assessment, theory and application

• Ability to provide a technical lead and train others

• Understands project financial management

• Able to prepare and make presentations to a variety of audiences
