An international consulting company offering engineering and environmental services in mining, environment, hydropower, water resources, roads and construction, is seeking a dynamic team leader with strong technical and client relations skills.
Senior Transmission Engineer
In this role you will lead a multidisciplinary design team in overall project design for large hydropower facilities within British Columbia and overseas. As key liaison to clients, you will prepare technical and monthly updates, manage utility-scale projects, and develop a strong understanding of the local and global impacts of these projects.
Some travel required.
The successful candidate will have a BSEE or MSEE, 10-12 years relevant experience, a strong consulting background with a proven track record of success, and ability to work closely with large government agencies. You will be a specialist in electrical systems pertaining to power/generation, rotating electrical machinery, switchyard and substation equipment, protective relaying and PLC control, and transmission line/interconnection systems. Superior written/verbal English skills are a must, and you will have a talent for inspiring others as well as developing long-term relationships with clients.
