Our client is a Telematics company delivering a range of wireless web-based solutions for the management and monitoring of remote assets using GSM (global system for mobile communications) and GPS (global positioning system) technology The company operates in three core sectors: Internet-based Vehicle Telematics, Marine Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ) Management, and Private Mobile Radio (PMR). A Senior Sales Manager is required for its division based in Wells which delivers complex monitoring and management solutions for land and marine remote asset management tracking
Primary Purpose of the Role
The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the company's share of the market by leading new and existing market sales activities. The Senior Sales Manager will identify and fully develop new accounts within the existing capabilities of the Group, but with expanding geographic reach. The Senior Sales Manager will manage prospective purchasers throughout the complete sales process and be responsible for the customer interface, account management, forecasting, report generation and will retain responsibility for achieved margin. To assist in identifying and recruiting appropriate distribution channels.
Key Tasks will include the following:
•To develop the sales and business activities within the UK and abroad with a clear focus on existing capabilities.
•Identify and fully develop new prospects and accounts.
•Conduct Sales negotiation, proposal and contract development and review.
•Close liaison with sales and development functions across the Group.
•Recommend product and service development to maximise new business potential.
•Identify and approach potential international distributors for CPSL/PMR and products and services and to assist in the establishment of chosen distributors.
•Liaise with marketing and engineering groups on client requirements and potential new products. Conduct detailed requirements gathering as appropriate.
•Regularly report sales/order leads, forecasts, and major prospect reports for Senior Management.
•Ensure that enquiry, tender and proposal documents are fully approved as laid down in procedures prior to submission to customers.

•Observe and conform to appropriate quality, safety and environmental procedures, practices and work instructions at all times.
Skills:
•Proven skills in a Senior Sales role in professional technical environments and will have demonstrated motivation and success in achieving targets in a national/international technical sales environment.
•Technically competency in GNSS systems and radio tracking.
Education
Be educated to degree level or with relevant experience.

English, French desirable
