An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Technical Estimator for a leading provider of technical building solutions and services in the UK.
This leading company provide a comprehensive range of integrated building solutions encompassing the design, installation and commissioning of technically advanced Fire & Security, Building Management, Energy, Networks and Refrigeration systems.
This role requires a highly motivated candidate who is experienced in Building Management Systems. You will be assisting the Sales Manager to deliver professional quotations for job specifications. This role could suit experienced sales people who might have had enough of being out on the road and meeting sales targets, or experienced engineers who are interested in something different.
Responsibilities:
-Understand the financial constraints involved in projects.
-Be able to work with in tight timeframes.
-Ensure systems are designed to all the relevant standards and inline with Codes of Practice.
-Demonstrate and handover the design strategy.
-Advise the Sales Manager of any compliance issues.
-Communicate effectively to clients and co workers.
-Provide design assistance and valued engineering alternatives when required.
-Order Processing.
-Handling customer delivery queries.
-Assisting in sales promotion activities such as exhibitions and customer visits.
-The role also requires close liaison with the customer primarily and also with production control, quality and shipping personnel.
Requirements:
-Relevant Technical Qualification (ONC or above) or relevant hands-on experience.
-Experience of estimating large, complex and small BMS systems.
-To have an understanding of PC based 'front-end' systems.
-An understanding of electronics and/or electrical installation.
-Full Driving Licence.
-Must be enthusiastic and care about delighting the customer.
Salary:- 40-45k dependant on experience.
