Description
Our client, a leading Supplier of Components to the Aerospace Industry are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be based in Gloucester.
Job Purpose
In support of our research and technology activities, to manage the development of health and usage monitoring technologies and capabilities for future landing gear systems.
Key Activities
- Managing and co-ordinating HUMS capability and product development activities
- Developing the technical maturity of HUMS to a level acceptable for application on products
- Generating work-breakdown structures and program plans and monitoring tasks and hours to ensure on-time and on-quality completion
- Capturing the functional needs and requirements for health and usage monitoring
- Guiding the development of system architectures, equipment, sensors and software algorithms
- Providing technical guidance on HUMS technologies and their application to the rest of the team
Knowledge Required
- A degree, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline.
-Experience of health monitoring, usage monitoring or condition monitoring
-Experience of loads monitoring (eg. OLM or FTI)
-Knowledge of system development and system architecture design
-Knowledge of requirements management, validation, verification and preferably DOORS
-Knowledge of sensors and data acquisition
-Knowledge or airworthiness regulations and aircraft systems
-Good verbal and written communication skills and general computer literacy
