Senior Systems Engineer is required for this large international defence & aerospace company based in the Northern Homes Counties area (Herts, Bucks, Beds area). Key responsibility areas: Undertake general systems engineering activities throughout engineering lifecycle.
Support design certification. Communicate issues to senior management. Deliver to agreed performance targets. Using technical expertise to solve problems and generate ideas within the team. Flexibility on skills will open the position to a trained individual who may have worked in a Defence organisation.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be educated to degree level. It is vital that you are able to think at the systems level. You must possess the ability/flexibility to support all stages of the systems engineering/project life-cycle and be proficient at technical problem solving. Flexibility on skills will open the position to a trained individual who may have worked in a Defence organisation.
Experience of working with Requirements engineering tools (DOORS), Mathematical analysis tools (Matlab/ Simulink), system design tools (Rhapsody, MODAF/UML) would be advantageous as well as experience gained within System Design/System Architectures. Knowledge of EW systems/EW domain.
For this role you must be a self motivated team player capable of working with minimum direction. Execution of systems engineering process, including requirements management, systems analysis/design, system integration and test and acceptance would be desirable. Preparation of systems documentation, including system requirement specifications, system architecture specifications, system design specifications, system test plans, system test specifications would also be advantageous.
The Senior Systems Engineer must have excellent communication skills. You will be a team player with drive and commitment, maintaining high standards. Ability to produce clear concise technical design documentation.
You must be prepared to travel and work from different locations occasionally.
