Senior System Safety Engineer
Conduct system safety / fault tree analysis on both mechanical and electronic equipment.Therefore, experience with Isograph or Relex for fault tree analysis is a pre-requisite.
> Conduct reliability predictions and FMECA (Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis).
> Carry out maintainability analysis and predictions- RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), MSG-3 (Maintenance Steering Group), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) analysis and LSA (Logistics Support Analysis).
> Produce data items in accordance with customer requirements.
> Influence design at inception and during design reviews- support and adhere to the new product introduction process -IPDS (Integrated Product Delivery and Support).
> Facilitate our globalization efforts in our low cost centers to reduce costs and to seek support from the centers during pick demands.
> Support and participate in work share resource activities within the RM&SS organization globally.
> Participate in VPD (Velocity Product Development) initiatives within the department, RM&SS organization and the wider Aerospace Engineering and Technology arena.
Experience / Education Required:
> Degree or HNC in an Engineering discipline with experience gained in an engineering environment.
> Engineering experience in ECS, Hydraulics, Oxygen and Control and Data equipment would be a distinct advantage.
> Knoweledge and experience of system safety and hazard analysis amessed, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Attributes/Skills Required:
> Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with customers and regulatory authorities.
> Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and its applications
> Effective written and verbal communication skills.

> Conduct system safety and hazard analysis with no or little supervison on high priority aircraft programmes.
> Must be capable of working on own initiative and also as part of a team.
> Self-motivated and a quick learner.
> Ability to work to short lead times.
