An experience multi faceted Senior Sustainability Consultant is required to add value to a busy and rapidly expanding team. You will be experienced in Environmental issues in development in the built and natural environment.

Our client specialise in delivering clients aspirations through negotiation and relationship building with local and national authorities whilst maintaining independence and objectivity. They also provide support across the full range of environmental and social issues faced by business, industry and landowners, and their supply chains.
The Role
Our client has a number of clients who require advice in sustainable design and construction. This is principally through the Code for Sustainable Homes, Eco-Homes and other BREEAM schemes hence seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to extend the delivery of existing sustainability services in the property sector to the South Wales region. The Senior Sustainability Consultant will also be responsible for undertaking and managing appraisals of the sustainable design and construction of buildings, advising key clients on how to deliver the zero carbon agenda, and establishing and developing a client base both through the existing client group network and independently. In addition, the successful candidate will also interface with existing sustainable design teams and assist in the development of a regional team; and provide specialist advice on a specific element of the overall sustainability discipline, for example renewable energy systems, climate modelling, carbon zero agenda or environmental technologies.
What you bring
At this level you should have a degree (or equivalent) in an Environment/Energy related discipline, and a working knowledge of techniques for the appraisal and design of sustainable buildings (including relevant UK/EU policies and legislation and those specific to the Welsh Assembly) with regard to sustainable design and construction. In addition, you should have an understanding of both the opportunities and constraints in the UK construction industry in relation to sustainability; an appreciation of wider environmental disciplines such as EIA, ecology and contaminated land; and a good understanding of at least one of the following:
Building energy,
Building simulation modelling (daylight, thermal comfort, energy efficiency),
Building integrated renewable energy within residential developments.
IEMA membership and formal training and accreditation under Code for Sustainable Homes / Eco-Homes / BREEAM / SAP would be advantageous. Sustainability Consultants with a background in M&E Engineering or building materials will also be considered.
