Following on from a major investment programme, and as part of an extensive recruitment campaign, this manufacturer of specialist electronics and electro-mechanical systems for the automotive sector (e.g. motor control & power systems) is looking to recruit a very experienced software engineer to be responsible for the development and implementation of an embedded software automated test environment.
The work will be broad ranging with key responsibilities including: developing comprehensive library of detailed test cases using automated environment & scripting languages; providing metrics on software quality (including test coverage); and working with software team on systems level testing.
You will have considerable experience within complex embedded test environments (e.g. automotive, aerospace) and involved in the development of test environments using automated tools (e.g. Rhapsody, UML) as well as experience of writing test scripts for success & failure cases. Automotive, MISRA/AUTOSAR experience would be an advantage, as would CAN-bus based systems and auto-code generation development.
