An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Software Developer to join the Cambridge office of a California-based company dedicated to the design and manufacture of mobile server class computing equipment.
As Senior Software Developer, you will be working in the Engineering Department in Cambridge, reporting to the Director of Engineering and working on PC BIOS development. The Cambridge office is the centre of design excellence for the business unit specialising in the design of hardware based around Suns Sparc and high end AMD processors.
You must have experience developing low level S/W in assembler and 'C', as well as in depth experience developing BIOS code, a good understanding of PC architecture, experience with assembler level programming and experience with complex S/W build environments.
To succeed as Senior Software Developer you should also have an understanding of Thin Client architecture and Windows XP/Server drivers, the ability to read schematics and hardware data sheets and experience of Linux system programming, hardware and software debug tools and source code control systems.
You will be a high flier that has demonstrated productive capacity probably in a number of areas. You should have been working in a team environment dedicated to enabling the hardware products of the group.
