Description
My client in London is looking for a Senior Software Developer to build and strengthen there existing team. The person required should be eligible to live and work in UK.
Our client is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their web development team and work in an energetic, friendly environment, where you will be able to help shape the company's development path, as well as work with experts in the digital media field.
Main Functions and Responsibilities:
- Work with the web development team to engineer and implement new features, extending the functionality of the new site
- Design, scope and plan new projects
- Create thorough unit tests and documentation
- Produce optimised and stable software
- Continuously collaborate with the development team and contribute to the future proofing of code and database design
Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software design and implementation
- Understanding of leading development methodologies
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Understanding of MVC design
- Experience with a high traffic web site a plus
Specific Skills:
- PHP 5 (Expert)
- Deep understanding of relational databases: MySQL a plus
- Javascript (experience with JQuery a plus)
- Experience with one or more dynamic languages, including: Perl, Python, Lisp, Smalltalk, or Ruby (outside of rails)
- Strong team player with good communication skills
