First class opportunities for Senior Renewable Energy Engineers to join an engineering consultancy which offers strategic engineering technology services in the energy and utility sectors worldwide. They provide advice to decision-makers on matters as diverse as the funding and development of new projects and technologies; industry and regulatory reform; energy and environmental economics; and valuations, mergers and acquisitions. The technologies being brought forward in the energy sector to mitigate this impact require detailed appraisal for them to be successful in a sustained way that meets investors' expectations. Positions are available in the sustainable energy developments team for persons to work on a variety of renewable energy projects, new technology developments and advisory services to clients in the UK and overseas.
As a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer, your role will include technical assessment of a wide range of projects, from pre-feasibility studies through to implementation. You will provide oral and written presentation of results to clients and participate in developing and winning new business.
Qualified to degree level in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering, (MSc or PhD would be advantageous but not essential), you will have experience in an energy industry or related sector (electricity, fuel production or processing). In particular, experience in renewable fuels or related technologies (e.g. oleochemicals) will be an advantage. An analytical approach is required with the ability to blend good technical understanding with commercial factors. Experience of project management and demonstrable achievement in successfully managing projects is required as is a clear ability to articulate complex technical and issues to clients and team members in both in written and oral form.
