As Senior Reliability Engineer you will join the in-house consultancy team and be responsible for the implementation of RCM analysis methodology ensuring efficient and consistent delivery of analyses. Responsibilities will include liaising with Plant Engineers and Managers for preparation, analysis, reporting and authorisation, and assisting Plant Engineers and Plant RCM Process Owners during the implementation of the maintenance regimes developed.
This is a new role in a new department. It offers a very visible, fantastic opportunity to influence at all levels of the organisation, gain credibility at senior management and Director levels, with a view to building a long term career with the organisation.
As Senior Reliability Engineer you will provide an expert knowledge base for the implementation of best practice asset management techniques and drive the optimum use of condition monitoring, defect elimination and effective maintenance execution through the application of structured business risk management.
You will be expected to:
•Facilitate RCM analysis workshops.
•Understand, operate and manage the S-RCM software tool and associated files.
•Prepare data and information required for analysis workshops.
•Manage personal time and resources to effectively deliver workshops and wider S-RCM implementation.
•Manage junior and support staff allocated to specific workshops.
•Liaise with Plant Engineers, Managers, Owners, maintenance and operations staff.
•Work with and direct technology specialists required for analysis.
•Liaise with and direct suppliers and contractors involved in workshops.
•Act as an expert knowledge base and best practice exponent.

To be successful as Senior Reliability Engineer you will need to have a Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Technology discipline combined with significant industrial experience in a plant maintenance environment. You will possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of the application of business risk management theory and practice related to the management of assets, combined with proven group facilitation and people management skills, working knowledge of condition monitoring techniques and application, working knowledge of structured root cause analysis techniques and application. This will be underpinned by an in depth understanding of the use of computerised maintenance management systems and good IT skills with the ability to learn and use new software.
The Engineering Support department within the Construction & Industrial business in Scunthorpe is the in-house consultancy to the business. Its primary function is to advise, facilitate and increase the knowledge of the engineering management and departments across the organisation.
